About Us We are a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant focused on quality food, strong team culture, and delivering a great guest experience. We're looking for a reliable, experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations and keep our kitchen running efficiently and profitably. Position Summary The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, managing staff, maintaining food quality and safety standards, controlling inventory and costs, and ensuring smooth communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a high-energy environment and leads by example. Key Responsibilities Manage and supervise all kitchen staff (hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and administering disciplinary actions as needed) Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control Oversee food ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships Control food cost, waste, and labor cost Maintain cleanliness and ensure compliance with health department regulations Enforce food safety and sanitation standards Create prep lists and manage daily kitchen workflow Maintain equipment and coordinate repairs as needed Work closely with ownership/management on menu execution and improvements Step in and cook on the line when necessary Qualifications 2+ years of kitchen management or leadership experience Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen sanitation standards Experience managing food and labor costs Ability to lead and motivate a team Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays ServSafe certification preferred (or willingness to obtain) What We're Looking For Dependable and accountable Calm under pressure Strong communicator Team-oriented leader Detail-focused and cost-conscious Passionate about quality food and kitchen efficiency What We Offer Competitive pay Growth opportunities Supportive ownership and team environment
