Job Description

About us We are a well-established, family-owned Italian restaurant with deep roots in the community. Our focus is classic Italian cuisine made with high-quality ingredients, consistency, and care. We are looking for a seasoned chef to help us refine, standardize, and elevate our existing recipes while staying true to our traditional flavors. Position Overview We are seeking a temporary consulting chef to work hands-on with our kitchen team to improve and finalize recipes, plating, and execution. This role is not about changing our identity—it's about making great recipes even better, more consistent, and easier to execute at scale. Key Responsibilities Review and refine existing Italian recipes (sauces, pastas, proteins, and specials) Improve consistency, balance, and presentation while respecting traditional techniques Help standardize recipes for training and daily execution Work directly in the kitchen alongside our current team Provide guidance on prep methods, seasoning, timing, and workflow Offer constructive feedback and coaching to cooks and kitchen leadership Ideal Candidate Proven experience as a Chef or Executive Chef, preferably in Italian cuisine Strong understanding of classic Italian techniques and flavors Practical, hands-on approach (this is not a desk-only role) Ability to collaborate respectfully with an existing team Detail-oriented with a focus on consistency and quality Comfortable working on a short-term or project basis
