Job Description
Overview Northern Cafe is seeking a dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage all aspects of restaurant operations. This role is crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction, maintaining high standards of food quality & service, and driving the overall success of our establishment. Responsibilities Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Lead and manage a team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth. Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer service and satisfaction. Manage budgeting and financial performance, including cost control measures to maximize profitability. Maintain inventory control, ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing waste. Collaborate with kitchen staff and lead to ensure food quality and presentation meet established standards. Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally. Conduct regular staff training sessions on service excellence, menu knowledge, and operational procedures. Requirements Minimum 1 year of relevant experience or hospitality education Manager's Food Handler Card Proven experience in a management role within a full service dine in restaurant or similar environment. Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff. Excellent leadership qualities with a focus on hospitality and customer service. Proficiency in budgeting and financial management practices. Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred. Knowledge of inventory control processes to ensure efficient operations. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
