In this vital role, you will ensure exceptional food quality, maintain efficient workflow, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. Your leadership will inspire staff, optimize kitchen productivity, and deliver outstanding dining experiences across various service formats, including casual dining, quick service, and catering. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise and management skills in a dynamic hospitality environment. Duties Supervise all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices. Oversee the use of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Lead staff training initiatives to develop culinary skills, uphold food safety standards, and promote excellent customer service. Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff, assigning duties, and ensuring smooth operations during busy hours. Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Collaborate with restaurant management on budgeting, cost control, and menu development to maximize profitability. Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a skilled and motivated culinary team. Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork and excellence. Support catering events, banquet services, or bar operations as needed to enhance overall guest satisfaction. Experience Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting. Demonstrated supervisory experience with a track record of training staff and managing teams effectively. Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS; experience with cash handling is essential. Background in managing inventory control, food safety protocols, and food production processes. Experience in casual dining or quick service restaurants; Japanese ramen restaurant experience is a plus. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and foster a collaborative environment. Knowledge of budgeting practices related to food industry operations; ability to analyze costs and optimize resources.
