The Café General Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of Common Grounds Café, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational excellence, and financial success. This leadership role oversees staffing, training, scheduling, inventory management, food quality, and financial performance while fostering a positive, hospitality-driven culture. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who is passionate about developing teams, delivering exceptional service, and creating a welcoming café experience that reflects TERI's mission and values. Your Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop café team members while fostering a positive, customer-focused culture.
Oversee daily café operations, including staffing, scheduling, inventory, ordering, and labor management. Drive sales, profitability, and operational performance by monitoring key business metrics and implementing continuous improvements. Maintain exceptional standards for food quality, coffee preparation, cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction. Recruit, onboard, train, and retain high-performing team members while supporting their professional growth. Manage cash handling, vendor relationships, equipment maintenance, and compliance with food safety and company standards. Resolve guest concerns professionally while creating a welcoming, community-centered café environment. Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
4+ years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality, café, restaurant, or food service management. Proven experience managing teams, staffing, scheduling, inventory, and daily café or restaurant operations. Strong understanding of labor management, food cost controls, budgeting, and financial performance. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Passion for hospitality, team development, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Pay
