The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, with a focus on full service dining experiences. As the Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.   • Maintains a cohesive working relationship within the restaurant staff assuring a high level of employee morale, cooperation, and enthusiasm among the staff. Operations
  • Coordinate daily restaurant management operations including customer service, food orders, employee management, daily reporting, and banking.
  • Along with the CEO and General Manager, collaborate to develop plans with respect to sales, growth, gross profit, labor, controllable expenses and net profit.
  • Oversee inventory controls to ensure the restaurant is maintaining a balanced food cost.
  • Coordinate weekly work schedules to anticipate sales trends/cycles/holidays and work to appropriately staff for business.
  • Ensure proficient cleaning practices and maintain compliance with sanitation, food handling, and safety regulations with both front and back of house staff.
  • Prepare and submit all specified reports and records including daily sales, AP tasks, and payroll to CEO.
  • Maintains budgets established for Sales, Gross Profit, Labor, Controllable Expenses and Net Profit.
  • Cover for General Manager on days off and times of absence.
  • Ensure all equipment is in working order so that proper services can be maintained for the entire restaurant.
  • Interprets company policy and procedures and maintains conformance within the restaurant. People Management
  • Develop good customer relationships and effectively address customer and employee concerns/complaints.
  • Participate in employee recruitment, train new and current employees on proper customer service practices and oversee dismissal process as warranted.

Working Conditions:
Work is primarily performed at the physical restaurant site. Position requires standing for extended periods of time, as well as extended periods of active movement serving customers. Must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Experience and Education:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous restaurant management experience required
  • Strong computer experience with Point of Sale (POS) system
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Quick decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, strongly preferred
  • Experience with a Point of Sale System (POS) (Toast preferred)
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Teachable spirit and team player are a must
  • A servant leader attitude
