This vital role combines leadership, management, and hands-on caregiving to ensure residents receive exceptional care in a safe, welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will help the administrator find new residents and work with the community, ensuring that the facility is a great choice for seniors in the area. Supervise and coordinate all staff to promote outstanding facility operations in alignment with goals, budget guidelines, and resident needs. Assume responsibilities of the administrator in his or her absence, following facility guidelines. Supervise operations to conform to regulatory guidelines. Duties Help find new residents. Ensure compliance with California Health and Safety Code §1569.3 and Title 22 regulations governing RCFEs. Oversee and direct all aspects of facility operations including resident care, staffing, and maintenance. Manage and train facility staff to provide compassionate, high-quality care for elderly residents. Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date resident records, including assessments, care plans, and medication logs. Coordinate with healthcare professionals, families, and community resources to meet residents' individual needs. Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with California RCFE regulations and best practices. Prepare for and participate in inspections and audits by the California Department of Social Services Licensing and Certification Division. Handle emergency situations and ensure all safety protocols and incident reporting comply with state standards. Requirements At least one year of experience as an assistant administrator. At least 21 years old with a high school diploma or GED. Must possess valid First Aid and CPR certifications prior to employment. Must pass background check before employment. Knowledge of California RCFE laws, regulations, and licensing requirements. Experience in long-term care administration, preferably in California RCFEs. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond effectively in emergencies.
