Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our Mediterranean-inspired fast casual restaurant concept. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service management, hospitality, and team leadership, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, drive business growth, and uphold the highest standards of food quality, safety, and service. The successful applicant will be instrumental in cultivating a vibrant, efficient, and customer-centric environment that reflects our brand's commitment to excellence. Duties Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service quality, and staff management to ensure smooth daily functioning. Lead and motivate a diverse team through effective training, development programs, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performance culture. Manage inventory control processes to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing waste and controlling costs. Supervise kitchen operations, including cooking standards, food safety compliance, and food handling procedures to maintain quality standards. Oversee POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and sales reporting. Implement shift management strategies to optimize staffing levels based on business needs while ensuring excellent customer service. Conduct interviewing and hiring processes for new staff members; provide ongoing training in food preparation, customer service, and safety protocols. Maintain compliance with health regulations and food safety standards; conduct regular audits and staff training sessions. Develop budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures to achieve profitability goals. Foster a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, hospitality excellence, and positive guest experiences. Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to uphold the restaurant's reputation for outstanding service. Qualifications Proven management experience within quick service or fast food restaurant environments; prior casual dining or fine dining experience is advantageous. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen management. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with cash handling procedures. Strong background in inventory control, food safety practices, and food industry regulations. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training, supervision, and team development. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively within a fast-paced setting. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and engage customers professionally. Previous experience in budgeting, cost control, and operational planning within hospitality or restaurant management. Knowledge of culinary practices related to Mediterranean cuisine is preferred but not mandatory. Hospitality management background with experience in supervising large teams across various shifts.
