Oversees food preparion, assigned personnel, inventory and product acquisition, maintains cost cards, requisitioning, training, directing and assisting cooks. Prepares special dishes as required and provides general supervision of all food-reled activities. Coordines with cering manager regarding parties, banquets, and protocol functions for kitchen performance and front of the house execution. Plans menus in consultion with the facility manager or the Business Operions Director. Assures adherence to established menus and standardized recipes. Supervises, directs, and assists in the preparion and cooking of food. Ensures food service personnel receive required food sanition training and follows NAVMED policies and guidance for cleanliness and sanition standards. Maintains ServSafe Trainer certificion and acts as facility trainer for ServSafe. Competent in applicions such as MS Office and cering and culinary software. Maintains and fosters relionships with vendors to include sales calls and workshops, conferences and seminars. Performs supervisory functions typical of a first-level supervisor. Prepares work schedules and makes work assignments; distributes workload; evalues work performance; trains employees; establishes leave schedules; inities personnel and disciplinary actions. Responsible for actively supporting the EEO program, the prevention of harassment and being alert to alcohol/drug abuse to take approprie action. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communices positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulions and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupional illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immedie supervisor and the Human Resources Office. EVALUATIONS

Qualificions Three years of professional experience in supervising, directing and coordining a full-service kitchen. Skill in food preparion, supervising personnel in preparion of meals, product requisition, food cost control, training and directing cooks. Must have demonstred knowledge of special and modified diet foods. Must have the ability to use commercial food service equipment. Must be thoroughly familiar with sanition and proper food protection procedures. Must have the ability to communice effectively both orally and in writing. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance. Additional informion
