Duties Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of guest service, cleanliness, and safety are maintained at all times Plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of events including banquets, catering functions, private parties, and corporate gatherings with precision and professionalism Develop event marketing strategies to attract new clients and promote upcoming events through various channels Negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining excellent relationships Upsell menu items, beverages, and event packages to maximize revenue opportunities during events and regular service hours Manage budgets for events and restaurant operations, ensuring cost control without compromising quality or service standards Lead a team of staff members by providing training, motivation, and performance feedback to foster a positive work environment Coordinate with catering teams, hotel staff (if applicable), and external vendors to ensure seamless event execution from setup to breakdown Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries promptly and resolving any issues efficiently Implement effective marketing initiatives for events to increase visibility and attract diverse clientele Maintain detailed records of contracts, bookings, inventory levels, and financial transactions related to events Qualifications Proven experience in restaurant management combined with banquet or event management experience in hospitality settings such as hotels or dedicated event venues Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build mutually beneficial relationships with clients and vendors Candidate can earn commission on top of annual pay. Excellent marketing acumen with experience in event marketing strategies that drive attendance and revenue growth Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques to enhance guest experiences while increasing profitability Skilled in event planning from initial concept through execution, including catering arrangements and logistics coordination Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality excellence Effective time management skills to juggle multiple events simultaneously while meeting deadlines Proficiency in budgeting, contracts management, and financial oversight for events and restaurant operations Strong communication skills coupled with organizational abilities that ensure smooth team collaboration Prior banquet or catering experience is highly desirable; hotel or hospitality background is advantageous Knowledge of fundraising activities related to community or charity events is a plus.
