Non-Exempt Work status: Full Time Reports to: Regional Meat Manager & Store Directors Why You'll Love This Job Lead the seafood department in a fast-paced, community-focused grocery environment. You'll manage fresh seafood inventory, displays, and a small team, ensuring every customer experiences the best selection and service. This is a hands-on leadership role — you'll be prepping fish, training staff, and shaping a department people rave about. Essential Functions Lead daily seafood department operations Receive, prep, cut, and merchandise fresh seafood and shellfish Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards (FDA/HACCP) Train, mentor, and supervise team members on product knowledge, knife skills, and customer service Manage inventory, ordering, pricing, and shrink Create eye-catching seafood displays that drive sales Address and resolve customer questions or concerns promptly Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient department Who You Are 1+ year of leadership experience in seafood, grocery, or perishable departments 2+ years retail or customer-facing food experience preferred Hands-on seafood experience: cutting, prepping, merchandising Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices Proven ability to coach, mentor, and motivate a team Comfortable with inventory, reporting, and basic math
Tech-savvy:

This is a full-time management position requiring flexibility to work any day of the week, including holidays. Closing shifts may extend until 10:00 PM, even though store hours are 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM. Shift assignments may vary based on business needs.
