Job Title:
Chef/General Manager - Mediterranean Concept (Walnut Creek, with growth path to new SF Bay Area locations)
Company:
Sala Mediterranean Grill We're a growing multi-concept hospitality group opening new locations across the SF Bay Area. Our Walnut Creek Mediterranean grill concept launched in March 2026 and has been led directly by our owner/operating partner since opening. We're now hiring a Chef/GM to take over daily leadership — with the opportunity to lead a brand-new location in San Ramon or San Francisco as we expand. The Role You'll start at our Walnut Creek location, training directly alongside [Owner Name] before taking full ownership of day-to-day operations. As we open new locations, there's a path to lead one of them. You'll oversee: Full scheduling for kitchen and FOH teams All ordering and inventory management Quality control across food and service Staff management and development, including direct oversight of a Kitchen Manager and FOH Shift Lead Recipe execution and menu consistency Day-to-day cost control and P&L awareness What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or Chef/GM in a high-volume restaurant setting Mediterranean or similar cuisine experience preferred, not required Demonstrated ability to manage inventory, vendor ordering, and food cost Track record managing and developing kitchen and FOH staff Comfortable owning both culinary execution and business operations Open to growth opportunity at a new location (San Ramon or SF) as the concept expands
Compensation:
$75,000-$90,000
DOE Pay:
$70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
