Pay:
$70,000 per year (salary) plus substantial quarterly performance bonus Company Overview SALT is a farm to table restaurant that has become a staple in downtown Boulder by cooking with exceptional, locally sourced ingredients and building close relationships with Colorado farmers and producers. We run a professional, energetic kitchen centered around our wood burning grill and oven, and we live by a simple standard: Work Hard and Be Nice. SALT is growing rapidly, and this role is a tremendous opportunity for a Sous Chef who wants to level up quickly through hands on mentorship from our seasoned Executive Chef. If you are motivated, organized, and serious about cooking with the best ingredients available, this is a high impact position with meaningful upside. Compensation includes a substantial quarterly bonus tied directly to restaurant performance. Position Overview We are seeking a talented, creative Sous Chef to help lead daily culinary operations and drive execution of our farm to table agenda. This is a full time, salaried position. What we are looking for Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous role in a farm to table, fine dining, or quality driven high-volume kitchen Deep appreciation for seasonal cooking and ingredient first cuisine Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment while staying positive and detail oriented Working knowledge of food cost control, inventory management, and kitchen best practices Culinary degree or relevant certifications preferred ServSafe Manager Certification preferred Spanish preferred Compensation and Benefits $70,000 per year (salary) Substantial quarterly performance bonus based on restaurant results Shift meal provided Health insurance Paid time off Application Process Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience and why SALT is a fit for you.
