This is a hands-on leadership role that combines restaurant management with oversight and growth of our private events business. The ideal candidate is highly organized, guest-focused, and thrives in both operational leadership and event planning environments. As a key member of the management team, you will help oversee daily restaurant operations, including leading shifts, supporting staff development, maintaining service standards, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. You will also manage private event inquiries, provide timely and professional communication to guests, coordinate event details, create Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and ensure events are executed at a high level. The right candidate enjoys leading people, building relationships with guests, and creating memorable experiences both in the dining room and through private events. What You'll Do Restaurant Leadership Help oversee daily restaurant operations and serve as a key member of the management team Run shifts with strong floor presence and hands-on leadership Build relationships with guests through table touches and genuine hospitality Support scheduling, onboarding, training, coaching, and staff accountability Maintain service standards, cleanliness, pacing, and overall guest experience Assist with opening and closing responsibilities Support administrative functions including reporting, tip tracking, and internal communication Step in wherever needed to support the team and the business Private Events Manage private event inquiries from initial contact through execution Guide guests through planning private events of all sizes, including corporate gatherings, milestone celebrations, rehearsal dinners, holiday parties, fundraisers, and special occasions Create and manage BEOs, event details, and event timelines Coordinate event details with culinary and service teams to ensure flawless execution Ensure events are properly staffed, organized, and ready for service Maintain timely communication and follow-up throughout the planning process Recommend menu options, enhancements, and upgrades that improve the guest experience and event revenue Build relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and guests to drive private event and catering growth Be present for key events and provide exceptional hospitality to hosts and guests Create memorable guest experiences that generate repeat business, referrals, and future event opportunities What We're Looking For Highly organized, responsive, and detail-oriented with exceptional follow-through 3+ years of restaurant management experience in a full-service restaurant Experience with private events, catering, banquet operations, or group dining strongly preferred Strong hospitality instincts and a genuine passion for guest experience Excellent communication skills in person, over the phone, and through email Ability to balance administrative responsibilities with active floor leadership Professional, polished, and guest-focused presence Team-first mindset with a willingness to jump in wherever needed Someone who takes ownership, leads by example, and enjoys building relationships with guests Why Join Butchers & Bakers Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on both restaurant operations and private events Oversight and growth of our private events business Performance-based incentives tied to private event and catering sales Strong team-oriented culture built around hospitality and quality Paid training and leadership support Employee dining discounts Growth opportunities within Locals 8 Hospitality Additional Requirements Nights and weekends required Ability to stand and move for extended periods This is an in-person leadership position combining restaurant management and private event responsibilities
