Tuesday-Saturday, 9:30 AM•4:30 PM (5:00 PM starting Memorial Day)
Position Type:
Full-Time, Seasonal (May 1•Columbus Day) About Us Blue Chip Creamery is Connecticut's premier ice cream catering company, known for our handcrafted ice cream sandwiches ("Chillwiches™"), high-end presentation, and top-tier customer experience. We operate at major events, universities, and now an exciting new storefront at Mystic Aquarium. We're looking for a reliable, organized, and customer-focused General Manager to take ownership of this location and ensure it runs smoothly every day. ⭐
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
Reliable. Organized. Detail-oriented. Customer-focused. And takes full ownership. What You'll Do Lead daily operations Tuesday-Saturday Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a positive, upbeat environment Serve ice cream and ensure product quality and presentation Manage and restock inventory Order supplies from approved vendors Keep the storefront clean, organized, and professional at all times Generate and send daily sales reports from the POS system to ownership Handle day-to-day problem solving and keep operations running smoothl
What We're Looking For:
We're seeking someone who takes pride in ownership and runs things like it's their own business.
Required:
Prior experience managing or supervising in a food service environment (restaurant, café, dessert shop, etc.) ServeSafe or Food Protection Manager Certification Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Reliability and consistency — this role depends on someone we can fully count on Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Comfort with POS systems and basic reporting
Preferred:
Experience managing a small team or operating a standalone location Experience with inventory ordering and vendor coordination Compensation & Perks Starting at $21/hour + tips Between hourly pay and tips, top performers can earn well above base pay in this high-volume, customer-facing role.
