Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager, where your passion for food and leadership will elevate our kitchen operations to new heights. In this energetic role, you will oversee daily kitchen activities, ensure exceptional food quality, and manage a talented team of culinary professionals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead with creativity, maintain high standards, and foster a vibrant, collaborative kitchen environment. Responsibilities Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold high standards of food quality and presentation Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating processes to deliver exceptional dining experiences in line with established menus and recipes Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs. Assist with end of month inventory Coordinate with ala carte and catering events and banquet services, ensuring timely and flawless execution of all functions Implement and monitor food safety protocols in compliance with health regulations and company policies Assist with menu planning by developing innovative dishes that meet member preferences and dietary requirements During our peak season, hours range from 55-60 hours per week (May through October), hours scale back during shoulder season and will be at the discretion of the Executive Chef. Experience •Country club/private club experience preferred but not required•Proven supervisory experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably within fine dining or catering settings Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production, food handling, and kitchen management Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members effectively Knowledge of food safety standards and certifications relevant to the hospitality industry Leads by example with cleanliness and proper kitchen closing procedures Experience managing diverse dietary needs and implementing menu planning strategies Join us to lead a passionate culinary team at a lively private Club where your skills will inspire excellence! Pay:
$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
