Designed by international designer India Mahdavi, Makoto is the perfect fusion of a French Brasserie, Japanese restaurant, and an American diner, all under one roof. Chef Makoto Okuwa, a master of Edomae-style sushi, continues to reshape tradition for a savvy audience eager for something new. The team is now seeking a passionate lead-by-example Restaurant Manager who knows how to train, mentor, and lead a top-notch team to deliver a memorable experience to all of our guests. The ideal candidates will have:

3-5 years of restaurant management experience in a well-rated restaurant-preferably Japanese A true love and appreciation for Japanese cuisine Experience hiring, training and mentoring a diverse team of hourly staff Basic computer and account knowledge including: Word, Excel, scheduling software, Open Table, Onboarding, & HR systems Strong food and wine knowledge with an eagerness to teach others.(especially as it pertains to sushi, ramen and other Asian & Japanese preparations) Ability to lead by example to drive the success of the team and restaurant Makoto is an equal opportunity employer.
