Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Bar Manager to lead our bar operations with enthusiasm and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily bar activities, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Your leadership will drive team performance, uphold high standards of food and beverage quality, and manage all aspects of bar management to create memorable experiences for our guests. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the bar team, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating staff to ensure top-tier service delivery. Oversee food preparation and beverage service to guarantee consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food and beverage management. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling, order processing, and sales reconciliation. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and health codes across all bar operations. Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet customer demand during peak hours while maintaining a positive work environment. Develop menus in collaboration with culinary teams, incorporating trending beverages and food items to enhance guest satisfaction. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business. Conduct staff training sessions on food handling, customer service excellence, and safety protocols to promote continuous improvement. Support budgeting efforts by controlling costs related to food production, staffing, and supplies while maximizing profitability. Experience Proven experience managing a bar or restaurant environment with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and beverage service. Demonstrated supervisory or management experience within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining establishments. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is essential for efficient transaction processing. Extensive knowledge of inventory control practices along with food safety standards in the hospitality industry. Prior experience in fine dining or hotel settings is highly desirable for delivering elevated guest experiences. Strong leadership skills with a track record of staff training & development, team management, and effective interviewing techniques. Background in kitchen management or culinary experience that supports seamless coordination between front-of-house and kitchen teams.
