Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally to ensure loyalty and satisfaction. Maintain café cleanliness, food quality, service standards, and safety protocols. Shift Operations Lead and manage daily shift operations to ensure smooth, efficient service. Deploy and adjust team resources based on real-time guest traffic and café needs. Monitor café performance metrics to ensure that goals are met. Team Leadership & Development Coach, develop, and motivate team members to achieve success. Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new associates. Recognize and celebrate team and individual achievements. Help plan staffing needs and manage shift schedules. Compliance & Safety Conduct food safety checks and uphold all health and safety standards. Ensure compliance with labor laws, sanitation standards, and company policies. Foster a healthy and safe workplace for the entire team. Financial Responsibility Assist General Manager in managing café costs, controlling labor, and maintaining profitability. Execute company and café strategies to grow sales and drive operational excellence. Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of supervisory experience in restaurant, food service, or retail management. Open availability — able to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Strong leadership abilities:
proven skills in coaching, motivating, and team development. Passion for outstanding guest service and building long-term customer relationships. Commitment to health, food safety, and workplace safety. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing demands.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to meet the demands of customer service, training, and safety requirements. Bilingual skills are strongly valued.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages — essential for cash handling, labor control, and inventory management.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be able to handle problem-solving with limited information and manage changing priorities.
Computer Skills:
Basic computer literacy required, including email, scheduling tools, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Inventory Software Proficiency:
Familiarity with restaurant inventory systems strongly preferred. Reliable transportation. (Valid Driver's License and Insurance a plus.) Must be 18 years of age or older.
