Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Manager to join our vibrant restaurant team. In this pivotal role, you will lead daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and foster a positive environment for staff and guests alike. Your passion for food, hospitality, and team leadership will drive the success of our restaurant. You will oversee food preparation, manage inventory, handle cash operations, and support the management team in maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth shift transitions and optimal service delivery. Supervise staff training and development to uphold service excellence and operational standards. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Manage inventory control, including stock ordering, storage, and waste reduction strategies. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and cash handling with accuracy. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas. Support hiring processes by interviewing candidates and participating in staff onboarding and training initiatives. Monitor restaurant performance metrics, including sales targets, labor costs, and customer satisfaction scores. Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control, and promotional activities to maximize profitability. Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service to create memorable dining experiences. Experience Proven experience in food service management or as an assistant manager within a quick service or fast food restaurant environment. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations. Demonstrated supervisory experience with a focus on team management, training & development, and performance coaching. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling. Experience in inventory control, food safety standards, and managing food production processes. Background working in casual dining or fine dining settings is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment. Excellent communication skills with experience in interviewing potential staff members.
