https://www.goodsaltgrp.com/nowhiring This position includes the following but is not limited to: Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make decisions on matters of importance. Assist GM and Executive Chef in managing the budget as it pertains to costs of goods sold, alcohol, utility, repair and labor costs. Ordering and inventory of select supplies, chemicals, paper products, etc Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests. Accommodate special requests when applicable. Assist staff in engaging a rapport with guests within the Baldwin Park community. Ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect employees, guests and company assets. Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Complete incident reports promptly if a guest or employee is injured. Manage shifts which include daily decision making, planning while upholding standards pertaining to product quality/availability, cleanliness, menu adjustments, etc. Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service. Scheduling for all FOH staff. Provide productive leadership and motivational tactics. Keep behavior in check & enforce policies and accountability. Prioritize focus depending on flow of business (ALWAYS MOVING). Responsible service of alcohol. Work with GM and Director of Hospitality to maintain the Good Salt proper steps of service. Assist in conducting staff evaluations when applicable. Probationary 90-day period and annually evaluations. Provide direction to employees regarding operational and procedural issues. Interview potential staff. Direct hiring, supervision, development and when necessary, termination of employees. Develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations and by conducting performance reviews. Assist in providing onboarding paperwork of new employees to Controller and Human Resources. Keeps GM fully informed of all issues (i.e., problems, unusual maters of significance and positive events) and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action. Maintains a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate which will be conducive to maximum employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness.Ideal candidate will possess:
