In this energetic role, you will support the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen activities, ensuring top-quality food service, maintaining safety standards, and fostering a positive environment for staff and guests alike. Your passion for food industry excellence will help deliver memorable dining experiences across casual and fine dining settings, all while managing inventory, training staff, and upholding food safety protocols. Responsibilities Assist in supervising daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality. Support inventory control processes by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs. Lead staff training and development initiatives to enhance culinary skills, customer service standards, and safety procedures. Oversee shift management duties such as scheduling, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth workflow during busy hours. Manage cash handling procedures using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS accurately and efficiently. Enforce food safety standards and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations across all kitchen areas. Collaborate with restaurant management to implement operational improvements, assist in budgeting efforts, and ensure exceptional guest experiences. Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management within quick service or casual dining restaurant environments. Demonstrated supervisory experience with a focus on staff training, team management, and leadership development. Excellent understanding of inventory control methods, food safety standards, and hospitality management principles. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high-quality standards. Experience with catering, banquet events, or hotel food service is a plus. Exceptional customer service skills combined with effective communication abilities to motivate team members and engage guests positively.
