$60,000 base salary + quarterly performance bonus
Schedule:
Full-time, must be available weekends and holidays We are a high-volume, coastal casual restaurant in Grayton Beach seeking a hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house team. This role is ideal for a working manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and sets the standard for quality, consistency, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff to execute a consistent, high-quality menu Create and manage weekly kitchen schedules to meet labor and business needs Oversee inventory management: accurate counts, cost control, and waste reduction Place and track orders with vendors; ensure proper receiving and storage of product Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen in compliance with health and safety standards Work on the line during service and support staff during peak periods Implement and enforce kitchen policies, recipes, and procedures Monitor food quality, portion control, and ticket times Collaborate with ownership/management on menu updates, specials, and cost controls Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented culture Requirements Minimum 3 years of kitchen management experience, including: Writing and managing staff schedules Conducting inventory Placing and managing food and supply orders Reliable transportation to and from work Ability and willingness to work weekends, nights, and holidays Strong leadership and communication skills Solid understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required Who We're Looking For Professional, calm under pressure, and solution-focused Hands-on leader who leads by example and isn't afraid to jump on the line Organized, detail-oriented, and cost-conscious Committed to building a strong, respectful, and cooperative team Do NOT apply if: You gossip or stir up drama You constantly complain instead of solving problems You are not team-oriented or unwilling to support your coworkers If you meet the requirements and want to grow with a reputable coastal restaurant, please submit your resume and a brief note about your experience and availability.
