Competitive; based on experience Position Summary Beach Happy Cafe & Cocktails is seeking an experienced, energetic, and hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead all back-of-house operations and ensure exceptional food quality, consistency, safety, and team performance. The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, managing staff, controlling food and labor costs, maintaining inventory, and ensuring all food is prepared to company standards while creating a positive and efficient work environment. This role is ideal for a strong culinary leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences. Key Responsibilities Kitchen Operations & Food Quality Oversee all daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth, efficient service during all shifts. Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, consistency, and portion control. Ensure all menu items are prepared according to recipes, specifications, and brand standards. Expedite service during peak hours and provide hands-on support as needed. Monitor prep levels and production to ensure kitchen readiness. Team Leadership & Development Recruit, train, coach, and develop all back-of-house team members. Create a positive, accountable, and team-oriented kitchen culture. Schedule kitchen staff to ensure proper coverage while managing labor costs. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development. Lead by example with professionalism, urgency, and accountability. Food Safety & Compliance Ensure full compliance with all local, state, and company food safety regulations. Maintain sanitation standards throughout all kitchen areas. Monitor proper food handling, storage, labeling, and temperature controls. Ensure kitchen equipment is clean, maintained, and operating safely. Inventory & Cost Control Manage food ordering, receiving, and inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize profitability. Monitor food cost, portioning, and waste to achieve budget goals. Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with monthly reporting. Build and maintain strong vendor relationships. Facilities & Equipment Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and service issues are addressed promptly. Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs with approved vendors. Maintain organization and cleanliness of all storage and kitchen areas. Qualifications 3+ years of kitchen management or culinary leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant environment. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards. Experience with inventory management, ordering, and food cost controls. Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. ServSafe Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Comfortable Pay:

$59,749.83 - $71,956.79 per year
