This role leads shifts, supports the team, and ensures consistent execution across food safety, quality, service, and overall operations while maintaining compliance with company standards, policies, safety requirements, and operational procedures. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Lead daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts Conduct pre-shift meetings and ensure weekly focus points are executed throughout the shift Ensure all company standards and operating procedures are followed and completed accurately Monitor speed of service, food quality, and guest experience throughout the shift Hold team members accountable while providing real-time coaching and support Food Safety & Equipment Perform daily equipment, refrigeration, and safety checks Verify coolers and freezers meet required temperature standards Monitor food holding temperatures and complete required line checks Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Inspect and ensure safe operation of kitchen equipment Report and document equipment issues immediately Inventory & Receiving Receive and verify vendor deliveries. Check invoices and packing slips against products received Ensure all delivery documentation is completed and submitted correctly. Organize and store products according to storage and food safety standards. Assist with inventory management and order guide completion. Prep Management Complete daily prep sheets Assign and monitor prep tasks Ensure recipes are followed exactly using approved standards Verify product quality through tasting and checks Team Development & Coaching Ensure staff consistently follow company standards, policies, and procedures Reinforce standards through real-time feedback and corrective coaching Address repeated issues through appropriate disciplinary action Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement Sanitation & Safety Compliance Enforce proper dishwashing procedure (wash, rinse, sanitize, air dry) Ensure proper glove use, knife safety, and cut glove compliance Enforce proper handwashing compliance Verify all food is labeled with name, date, and use-by information Enforce trash, recycling, and overall cleanliness standards Administrative Responsibilities Review daily communication logs and daily reports. Complete and submit required MOD documentation. Ensure all deliveries, receipts, and invoices are sent and labeled correctly Verify and approve team member hours during assigned shift Maintain accurate records of checklists, temperature logs, prep sheets, and order guides Document and communicate equipment issues, maintenance needs, incidents, and employee disciplinary actions (verbal warnings and write-ups) Attend manager meetings (bi-weekly) and training sessions as scheduled Manage and resolve employee call-outs Qualifications Required 2+ years of restaurant, food service, or hospitality leadership experience Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to lead, coach, and motivate team members Experience receiving inventory and working with vendor deliveries Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods ServSafe Manager Certification or equivalent Experience managing both kitchen and front-of-house operations Proof of Hepatitis A vaccination (or willingness to obtain prior to starting) Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays (opening and closing shifts required) Compensation + Benefits $47,000
