Assistant Restaurant Manager Caddy's Treasure Island, FL Job Details Full-time $55,000 - $58,000 a year 9 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Vendor relationship building Phone communication Operational management Restaurant management Team development Bachelor's degree Business Administration Community relationship building Managing food service teams Team motivation (leadership skill) Stakeholder relationship building Food service management Team building Full Job Description Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including managing staff, scheduling shifts, and ensuring that all employees are properly trained and adhering to company policies and procedures Monitor food/beverage and labor costs, and develop strategies to increase profitability and reduce expenses Ensure that food/beverage quality, service, and cleanliness standards are consistently met and maintained Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure that food preparation is efficient and of high quality Manage inventory levels and ordering of supplies, and ensure that all products are properly stored and rotated, monitor spending patterns and budget. Assist in developing and implementing marketing and promotional strategies to increase sales and attract new customers Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing sanitation and safety guidelines and ensuring compliance with all health codes and regulations Assist in handling customer complaints and concerns, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner. Help create and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment. Support ongoing learning and development of team members. Supervising employees during day-to-day tasks, providing customer support in escalated situations and managing the overall workflow of a workplace. Provide direction to staff. Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders in the community Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including those related to employment, safety, and food service Perform other duties as assigned by the Restaurant General Manager, fill in for General Manager (GM) in times of absence.
Requirements:
At least 2-3 years of experience in restaurant management or a related field, with a track record of success in achieving operational goals Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve their full potential Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands Knowledge of food service industry best practices, including food safety and sanitation, inventory management, and customer service Familiarity with restaurant management software and technology, including POS systems and online ordering platforms Flexibility to work weekends and evenings, as needed. Email and phone correspondence Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred, but not required. Physical Requirements Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion. Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operates phones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and other office equipment. Exposures You may be exposed to airborne particles, caustic, chemicals, electric current, moving parts, muscular strain, noise, and odors.
