This leadership role is responsible for ensuring exceptional product quality, outstanding customer service, operational efficiency, and compliance with food safety standards. The ideal candidate is a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys developing team members, and is committed to creating a positive workplace culture while delivering an exceptional experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities Oversee all daily bakery operations to ensure efficiency, consistency, and profitability. Lead, coach, train, and support bakery team members to promote professional growth and accountability. Maintain high standards for customer service and ensure a welcoming environment for all guests. Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and labor efficiency. Oversee inventory management, product ordering, and vendor coordination. Monitor product quality, presentation, freshness, and consistency. Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Conduct routine inspections and quality control checks throughout the bakery. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of staff. Address customer concerns professionally and resolve issues effectively. Analyze operational processes and implement improvements to increase productivity and profitability. Open and close the bakery as needed. Work alongside team members during peak business periods and lead by example. Support marketing initiatives, community engagement, and sales growth opportunities. Oversee cash handling procedures, deposits, and point-of-sale operations with accuracy and integrity. Collaborate with ownership on operational planning, budgeting, cost control, and business development strategies. Qualifications Previous management or supervisory experience required. Experience in bakery operations, food service, restaurant management, café management, or retail leadership preferred. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop team members. Experience managing inventory, scheduling, and operational workflows. Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and health department requirements. Current ServSafe Manager Certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification within 60 days of hire. Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 to 75 pounds.
Pay:
$18.00 - $26.00 per hour
