Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused General Manager to lead the daily operations of our retail store and café. This role is responsible for driving sales, delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing staff, controlling costs, and ensuring smooth operations across both retail and food service areas. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong business acumen, team development skills, and a passion for hospitality and retail excellence. Key Responsibilities Operations Management Oversee all daily retail and café operations. Ensure exceptional customer service standards are consistently maintained. Monitor inventory levels, ordering, merchandising, and stock control. Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and operational compliance standards. Implement company policies, procedures, and best practices. Team Leadership Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise retail and café staff. Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance work environment. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development. Manage staffing levels to meet business needs and labor budgets. Sales & Financial Performance Drive revenue growth through effective merchandising, promotions, and customer engagement. Monitor sales performance and key operational metrics. Manage budgets, labor costs, inventory shrinkage, and operating expenses. Analyze financial reports and implement strategies to improve profitability. Customer Experience Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally. Build strong relationships with customers and the local community. Ensure a welcoming and engaging shopping and dining environment. Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations. Maintain accurate records and operational documentation. Conduct regular safety inspections and staff training. QualificationsRequired 3-5+ years of management experience in retail, café, restaurant, hospitality, or related operations. Proven experience leading and developing teams. Strong understanding of sales, inventory management, and budgeting. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed. Preferred Experience managing both retail and food service operations. Food Safety Certification or willingness to obtain certification. Experience with POS systems, scheduling software, and inventory management tools.
