Job Description

Job Overview An established Catering company seeking a dynamic and experienced Catering Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations. This role is vital in ensuring the seamless execution of food production, maintaining exceptional food quality, and managing a talented kitchen team. The Catering Kitchen Manager will oversee all aspects of kitchen management, including menu planning, inventory control, food safety, and staff supervision, to deliver outstanding catering experiences for our clients ranging from intimate gatherings and weddings to large-scale corporate functions. The ideal candidate balances passion with strict administrative discipline to ensure high-quality execution and profitability.
Key Responsibilities Menu Planning:
Design innovative catering menus tailored to diverse client needs, seasonal availability, and dietary restrictions.
Inventory Management:
Oversee weekly ordering, conduct routine counts, track food waste and manage vendor relationships to maintain a strict food cost percentage.
Kitchen Leadership:
Recruit, train, schedule and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a positive, efficient and collaborative work environment.
Event Execution:
Oversee food production timelines to ensure all catering orders are prepared, packed and transported safely and punctually.
Food Safety & Compliance:
Maintain immaculate kitchen cleanliness and enforce strict ServSafe standards and local Georgia Department of Public Health regulations. Excellent communication with CEO Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef or Catering Lead Catering Experience is
REQUIRED
Proven track record in menu development and comprehensive inventory control. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team under high pressure event timelines. Proficient with kitchen tech (Excel, Catering Software or inventory management app). Valid ServSafe Manager certification required. Knowledge of local and southern cuisine market is a plus.
