Exempt Job Summary:
The GA Operations Manager is a highly organized and results-driven individual who oversees the TSS Georgia-based operations. This position is responsible for managing daily operational activities, including production planning, leading the warehousing team, overseeing physical inventory, and implementing process improvements related to GA Operations. This role is critical to ensuring the safety of the TSS team, delivering consistent defect-free quality to our customers, and maintaining the efficiency of processes across GA operational functions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and compliance by maintaining unwavering quality standards, implementing process corrections/improvements as necessary, and always ensuring audit readiness of the GA Operations team and processes. Oversee all production operational functions for the Georgia facility, while creating efficient workflows and productivity by setting goals and delivering exceptional performance through management of the warehouse staff. Supervise and support warehouse staff, including training, coaching, and performance management. Collaborate with the TSS executive management team to forecast production capacity, warehouse staffing needs, and resource requirements. Ensure employee compliance with all federal and state requirements, including OSHA safety standards, timekeeping practices, and company HR policies. Ensures all staff complete required safety and compliance training (including OSHA, harassment prevention, and company policy reviews). Ensures proper handling of company data and confidentiality in accordance with company policy and applicable data protection laws. Monitor inventory accuracy and coordinate with leadership to maintain the required part trace. Implement process improvements to reduce costs/waste and increase efficiency within the GA Operations warehouse. Use the ERP and supporting systems for planning, scheduling, reporting, and inventory management. Collaborate with the TSS executive management team and HR on employee relations, hiring, and compliance matters. Collaborate with the Executive management team to ensure equipment and facilities are maintained and serviced appropriately. All purchases exceeding a $2,000.00 threshold will be submitted to executive management for approval. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong leadership and team management skills. Proficient with ERP systems, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Solid understanding of operational workflows, quality standards, and safety protocols. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Minimum of five (5) years of operations management experience, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment. Proven experience leading teams and managing cross-functional processes. Familiarity with quality control and lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing or walking throughout the facility. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times. Ability to operate standard office and warehouse equipment.
