$60,000 per year + Performance-Based Bonus Opportunities About Nonic Nonic is a chef-driven restaurant and cocktail bar located at Highside Market in Midtown Columbus, Georgia. Featuring an elevated food program, craft cocktails, curated wine selections, and a vibrant rooftop atmosphere, Nonic has become one of Columbus' premier dining destinations. We are seeking a passionate and experienced General Manager to lead our team, drive operational excellence, and help continue the growth of our restaurant and bar program. Position Summary The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of Nonic, serving as the primary leader of the restaurant and bar operation. This role oversees all aspects of guest experience, financial performance, team development, food and beverage execution, and facility operations. The ideal candidate is a hospitality professional who thrives in a high-volume, service-focused environment and can effectively lead both front-of-house and back-of-house teams while maintaining the culture and standards that define the Nonic experience. Compensation & Benefits Compensation $60,000 annual salary Quarterly performance-based bonus opportunities Benefits Healthcare contribution/match 401(k) retirement plan Paid Time Off (PTO) Employee dining discounts Professional development opportunities Annual performance reviews with bonus incentives Key Responsibilities Financial & Business Management Drive sales growth and profitability through exceptional operational execution Manage labor, food, beverage, and controllable costs to achieve budget goals Analyze P&L statements, sales trends, labor reports, and inventory performance Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and improve margins Monitor purchasing, inventory controls, and vendor relationships Present regular business performance updates to ownership Leadership & Team Development Recruit, hire, train, and develop restaurant staff and managers Lead and mentor department leaders across service, bar, and kitchen operations Foster a culture of accountability, hospitality, and teamwork Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching Ensure all policies, procedures, and service standards are consistently executed Guest Experience & Hospitality Maintain exceptional standards of hospitality and service throughout the restaurant Lead service during high-volume periods and special events Resolve guest concerns professionally and effectively Ensure a welcoming and memorable experience for every guest Champion a culture of genuine hospitality and attention to detail Food & Beverage Operations Partner with culinary and bar leadership to maintain quality standards Oversee beverage, wine, and cocktail program execution Ensure menu knowledge and training standards are maintained Monitor food quality, consistency, presentation, and service timing Support menu rollouts, staff education, and seasonal programming Facility & Compliance Management Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of the restaurant, rooftop spaces, kitchen, and bar Ensure compliance with health department, alcohol service, and safety regulations Manage vendor relationships and coordinate facility repairs Maintain preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities Qualifications Required 3+ years of restaurant management experience Proven leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant or bar environment Strong knowledge of restaurant financials, labor management, and inventory controls Excellent communication and conflict-resolution skills Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain) Preferred Experience with craft cocktail, wine, or chef-driven dining concepts Experience managing multiple revenue centers or rooftop venues Familiarity with reservation platforms and restaurant POS systems Strong understanding of food, wine, spirits, and hospitality trends Schedule Minimum 45 hours per week Five-day workweek minimum Nights, weekends, and holiday availability required Schedule based on business needs and event calendar What We're Looking For We're looking for a leader who is equally comfortable reviewing financial reports, mentoring managers, touching tables during service, jumping behind the bar when needed, and ensuring every guest leaves with a memorable experience.
