Full Job Description About Us:
Bloom•Pastry & Pop is a boutique patisserie & café this August. We specialize in premium non-alcoholic beverage programs, specialty loose-leaf teas, curated cold brew floats, and high-end European pastries. We are building a beautiful, clean, and high-energy environment focused on exceptional customer service and operational efficiency. We are looking for passionate, detail-oriented team members to help us launch our brand-new space just in time for Labor Day Weekend What You'll Do (The Role): As a lead Café Associate, you will be the face of Bloom, responsible for crafting an exceptional guest experience from the register to the plate.
Your daily rythm will include:
Crafting Premium Beverages:
Program and operate our specialty beverage line, spinning up perfect lattes, precisely steeping loose-leaf teas, and assembling our signature gelato cold brew floats.
Artisanal Food Prep & Presentation:
Handle, portion, and beautifully present premium pastries. You will also manage light back-of-house assembly, including baking off fresh croissants, thawing artisanal baked goods, and crafting quick, high-end sandwiches and flatbreads. (No heavy commercial grease traps or complex cooking lines required!) Elevating the
Guest Experience:
Welcome guests into our space, guide them through our menu matrix, and process transactions quickly and accurately using our cloud-based touch-screen Toast POS system. Maintaining a
Clean Aesthetic:
Keep the counter, dining area, and prep stations spotless, organized, and compliant with local health standards to match our clean design aesthetic.
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
At least 1-2 years of experience in a specialty café, bakery, or fast-casual environment handling food and beverage prep (barista or light kitchen experience is a major plus).
Tech Literacy:
Comfortable operating modern, tablet-based POS networks and digital ticketing systems with speed and accuracy. Attention to
Detail:
You care about presentation—whether it's the clean pour of a latte, the perfect alignment of pastries in a display case, or using eco-friendly custom packaging correctly.
Reliability & Energy:
A warm, professional demeanor with the stamina to handle a bustling afternoon rush.
Timeline Commitment:
Must be available for our mandatory paid training week starting August 17 , and available to work over our grand opening launch during Labor Day Weekend.
