RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages multiple departments and daily workflow to ensure optimum service levels are maintained.
  • Oversees service levels to ensure delivery trucks depart on time and as scheduled.
  • Works with Facilities Management to make sure maintenance issues are addressed in an efficient manner.
  • Interacts with Goods In and Goods Out managers to ensure department objectives are met.
  • Conducts meetings with supervisory team to foster communication and discuss improvement opportunities.
  • Attends cross-functional meetings to ensure consistent communication and address any associate concerns.
  • Analyzes Goods-Out and Goods-In procedures and processes and identifies improvement opportunities.
  • Monitors and ensures that CFC security procedures are being adhered to.
  • Shares best practices with other CFCs.
  • Promotes safe work practices.
  • Ensures completion of all necessary paperwork.
  • Ensures timely completion of bi-weekly payroll information.
  • Operates basic and advanced warehouse vehicles. Identifies any equipment training needs & ensures equipment safety compliance.
  • Works in conjunction with Facilities Management to gain understanding and improve diagnostic knowledge of conveyor controls throughout the CFC.
  • Ensures consistent evaluation of spend-a-day candidates and monitors their progress.
  • Assists with the budget process.
  • Ensures Overtime and Operational costs remain within budget.
  • Performs all duties inherent in the role of MSC manager as defined in the MSC code of conduct including hiring, termination, review and development of associates.
  • Implements and fosters the Safety Culture alongside the Global Safety department through direct input, participation and resource management.
  • Develops local leadership team goals regarding safety metrics and support the achievement of those goals.

  • Fosters the MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC's mission. In order to meet customer service requirements, associates can be temporarily re-assigned to other warehouse functions. Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

  • EDUCATION and
EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or the equivalent required. Minimum of five years job-related experience required.
  • SKILLS:
    Knowledge of computers required. Good verbal and written communication skills required. Good working knowledge of the distribution process required.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    Bending to lift items from the floor and racks required. Lifting items between 25 and 50 pounds required. Ability to operate at heights up to 50 feet required. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time required.
  • MISCELLANEOUS
    Position may require a valid states driver's license. Compensation starting at $65,300.
  • $102,630.
depending on candidate location and experience. The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
