Job Summary :
Under the direction of the Director of Client Services
  • Food Pantry, the Food Pantry Manager supports all aspects of Food Pantry operations, including inventory control, receiving products, client orders, supervising and managing volunteers, entering data and creating reports.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive donations and inspect to ensure it meets NFCC quality standards. Checks inventory of all standard items in the pantry program, reconcile inventory and ensure counts are correct. Helps stock all donations in appropriate areas. Fill orders as needed. Responsible for troubleshooting client pantry problems. Sort and organize food according to prescribed processes. Provide support and training for technology for client programs Assists with annual inventory. Work with enabled agencies to ensure all process are correct. Train and onboard new employees who join the Food Pantry and Client Services team. Responsible for Salesforce data entry and reporting for food pantry. Attend meetings and oversee pantry operations in absence of the Food Pantry Director. Trains and supervises individual and group volunteers. Source more food. Will help build community partnerships to increase food donations and food recovery. Work at NFCC events throughout the year. Supervise evening and weekends shifts as needed. All other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work with and to lead a team. Good interpersonal communications skills required. General computer and technology aptitude to learn NFCC systems. Strong MS Office (Excel) experience. Salesforce experience a plus Able to work weekends, 2 nights weekly preferred. Bilingual (English and Spanish). Criminal background check clearance and a negative drug test screening.
Education and Experience:
High School degree or equivalent, previous experience in supervision
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage Food Pantry staff and volunteers
Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary in the range of $52,000
  • 55,000 based on experience.

  • NFCC pays either 100% or 90% of the premiums for medical, dental and vision. Eligibility begins the first day of the month after 30 days of hire. 403(b) pretax elective deferrals following the first full pay period after their hire date with a matching contribution
  • for every $2.

Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50lbs.
