Job Description

Job Overview We are on the lookout for an energetic and experienced Food Service General Manager to lead our dynamic restaurant team. Candidates must have experience in an institutional setting such as school, senior living, hospital, or university. In this role, you'll oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and drive the overall success of our food service establishment. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, skilled in management, and eager to foster a positive environment for both staff and guests. Your leadership will set the tone for a lively, welcoming atmosphere where quality food and outstanding service come together seamlessly. Duties Manage all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, scheduling, and shift management to ensure smooth daily functions. Lead staff training and development initiatives to uphold high standards in food preparation, customer service, and safety protocols. Oversee food quality control, ensuring menu items meet established standards for taste, presentation, and safety. Control inventory levels through effective stock management and ordering processes, utilizing systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS when applicable. Handle cash flow responsibilities such as cash handling, POS transactions, and balancing registers accurately. Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety. Foster a positive team environment by motivating staff, conducting interviews for hiring new team members, and managing performance reviews. Requirements Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management with a strong background in supervising teams within quick service or casual dining settings. Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and food safety standards. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and sales tracking. Strong leadership skills with experience in staff training, development, and performance management. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Background in managing budgets, controlling costs, and implementing inventory control measures. Excellent communication skills with a passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
