About us Benola's Pub & Patio is a small but growing bar and restaurant in Baxter, IA. We serve upscale bar and grill food along with pizzas and weekly specials
  • Job Summary
  • We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in overseeing the kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a smooth workflow.
  • Duties
  • Assist in food preparation and cooking
  • Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate their tasks
  • Manage inventory control and ordering supplies
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Contribute to menu planning and development
  • Oversee banquet and fine dining service
  • Support the Head Chef in kitchen management and restaurant operations
  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or relevant role
  • Strong knowledge of kitchen management and food preparation techniques
  • Experience in inventory control and ordering supplies
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Familiarity with dietary department operations is a plus
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
