In this energetic role, you will oversee daily restaurant operations, support staff development, and ensure that every aspect of the dining experience meets our high standards. Your expertise in food preparation, management, and customer service will help create a lively, welcoming environment that keeps guests coming back. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow your management skills within a fast-paced, hospitality-focused setting. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including shift management and ensuring smooth service flow Supervise and train staff on food handling, customer service, POS systems, and food safety protocols Oversee food preparation and kitchen activities to maintain quality standards and efficient food production Control inventory levels through effective stock management and ordering processes Handle cash transactions accurately and reconcile cash drawers at shift end Support the implementation of food safety procedures and ensure compliance with health regulations Lead staff onboarding, and ongoing training & development initiatives Manage customer relations by addressing concerns promptly and ensuring high satisfaction levels Assist with budgeting, cost control, and overall restaurant management to maximize profitability Collaborate with culinary teams to maintain consistency in food quality across casual dining, fine dining, catering, or banquet services Experience Proven assistant manager or supervisory experience within the food industry or hospitality management environment Extensive knowledge of restaurant operations including shift management, kitchen management, and food service management Hands-on experience with POS systems such as ordyx/tonic for order processing and sales tracking Strong background in food preparation, culinary techniques, and food safety standards Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a positive work environment Experience in managing inventory control, budgeting, and cost analysis in a fast-paced setting Familiarity with various restaurant formats including quick service & fine food restaurants, casual dining, fine dining, catering or banquet environments Excellent communication skills with a focus on staff training & development and customer service excellence Join us at Sip as an Assistant Manager to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering memorable dining experiences.
