Assistant General Manager

Jersey Mike's Subs in Dixon, IL is looking for a hard working, dedicated person who has the ability to assist in building and leading a team and ensure company standards and processes are upheld while customers have a consistently pleasant experience. This position has the opportunity for advancement as we grow. This is a full-time, 35 hour a week position.

Basic Requirements:

Strong communication skills Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs, occasionally, and 25 lbs frequently Ability to work all areas of the restaurant, front, back, and operate a computerized cash register Self-motivated, service-oriented, and friendly Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Work well with a team of crew members Capability to learn skills quickly Possess cleanliness and organizational skills Food service experience Has the ability to lead Thrive in the Jersey Mike's process Keep in Mind our Leaders also need to: Respond positively and quickly to customer concerns and correct problems before they affect the brand. Supervise and direct employees customarily and regularly during work hours. Work independently and use your discretion and judgment to execute duties and responsibilities. Train, coach, and provide performance feedback to motivate and improve all employees. Evaluate employees' performance and hold employees accountable for meeting performance standards. Make employment decisions regarding hiring, discipline, advancement, termination, and compensation. Analyze business performance, monitor controllable costs, and initiate appropriate actions when necessary. Utilize labor effectively while ensuring our highest standards of quality. Ensure business and personnel practices are conducted according to state and federal laws and consistent with Jersey Mike's policies and procedures. Uphold company food safety, handling, and sanitation requirements to ensure the health and safety of customers and employees.
