Job Description

Protein Processing Showroom - Assistant Manager Cozzini LLC Cozzini Elk Grove Village, IL Description Middleby is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Protein Processing Showroom Assistant to support daily operations within our Protein Innovation Center (PIC). This role is ideal for someone passionate about food processing, protein applications, and maintaining a world-class customer experience. The Protein Innovation Center serves as a showcase for innovative food processing technology, and this position plays an important role in supporting demonstrations, maintaining facility readiness, coordinating supplies, and assisting with product development and testing activities. The ideal candidate will have experience within food manufacturing or meat processing environments, strong organizational skills, and a hands-on approach to supporting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate professionally and effectively with internal teams, customers, and vendors both verbally and electronically Maintain the Protein Innovation Center in a clean, organized, and showcase-ready condition, including washing and sanitizing surfaces and equipment following events and demonstrations Coordinate and manage multiple projects while ensuring timely completion and attention to detail Support and follow food safety procedures in alignment with Codex Alimentarius and GFSI guidelines Assist in identifying solutions and responding to unexpected operational challenges Provide support related to protein marination, curing, and food processing applications Maintain and organize test kitchen supplies, tabletop equipment, and small appliances Troubleshoot equipment issues and assist in identifying operational deficiencies or variables Maintain accurate records related to scheduling, protein inventory, supplies, and operational activities Assist in developing and organizing training materials and programs for the Protein Innovation Center Source and coordinate protein products, ingredients, and supplies from vendors as needed Perform additional duties and support special projects as assigned Middleby is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EOE/M/F/Vets/Disabled) employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.

USDA/FDA
food safety regulations and HACCP principles Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally to pick up supplies and ingredients
Preferred Qualifications:
Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) experience or certification Experience supporting food processing demonstrations, innovation centers, or test kitchens Salary Description $85k to 95K
