Job Description
Juliet's Tavern is seeking a strong, hospitality-driven Assistant Manager to help lead daily operations at one of Downtown Joliet's busiest and most established tavern concepts. We are looking for an experienced leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, communicates effectively, and understands the importance of guest experience, staff accountability, and operational excellence. This position requires professionalism, urgency, adaptability, and a hands-on management style. As an Assistant Manager, you will work closely with ownership and upper management to oversee front-of-house operations, staff performance, guest satisfaction, and overall day-to-day execution of service.
Responsibilities Include:
Assisting in overseeing daily restaurant operations
Leading and supporting FOH staff during service
Maintaining high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and professionalism
Assisting with scheduling, training, and staff development
Handling guest concerns professionally and efficiently
Ensuring proper cash handling and adherence to company policies
Monitoring labor, productivity, and operational flow during shifts
Maintaining strong communication between FOH and BOH teams
Upholding company standards, culture, and accountability
Ability to remain composed and organized in high-volume environments
Excellent communication and team management abilities
Nights, weekends, and holiday availability required
Experience with POS systems and restaurant operations preferred
