Job Description

Juliet's Tavern is seeking a strong, hospitality-driven Assistant Manager to help lead daily operations at one of Downtown Joliet's busiest and most established tavern concepts. We are looking for an experienced leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, communicates effectively, and understands the importance of guest experience, staff accountability, and operational excellence. This position requires professionalism, urgency, adaptability, and a hands-on management style. As an Assistant Manager, you will work closely with ownership and upper management to oversee front-of-house operations, staff performance, guest satisfaction, and overall day-to-day execution of service.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Assisting in overseeing daily restaurant operations
  • Leading and supporting FOH staff during service
  • Maintaining high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and professionalism
  • Assisting with scheduling, training, and staff development
  • Handling guest concerns professionally and efficiently
  • Ensuring proper cash handling and adherence to company policies
  • Monitoring labor, productivity, and operational flow during shifts
  • Maintaining strong communication between FOH and BOH teams
  • Upholding company standards, culture, and accountability
Qualifications:
  • Previous restaurant management experience required
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to remain composed and organized in high-volume environments
  • Excellent communication and team management abilities
  • Nights, weekends, and holiday availability required
  • Experience with POS systems and restaurant operations preferred
