We are looking for a hands-on Manager to lead our team, maintain our high standards for quality, and ensure every guest leaves happy. ​What You'll Do ​ Lead the
Floor:
Oversee daily operations, including opening/closing procedures, staff scheduling, and inventory management. ​
Maintain Quality:
Ensure our chicken is served hot, fresh, and exactly to Rick's standards every single time. ​ Coach the
Team:
Train and mentor staff to provide the "friendly neighbor" service our customers expect. ​
Manage Safety:
Uphold strict food safety and sanitation protocols. ​
Drive Results:
Monitor food costs, reduce waste, and help grow our local presence. ​Requirements ​
License:
Must possess a valid Illinois Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification (CFPM). ​
Experience:
Previous experience in restaurant management or a lead supervisory role is preferred. ​
Availability:
Must be available for a 6-day work week (Tuesday-Sunday). We are closed on Mondays. ​
Skills:
Strong communication, basic computer literacy, and a "lead-by-example" work ethic. ​Benefits ​

$45,000+ based on your level of experience. ​

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations at our popular quick-service restaurant specializing in crispy, flavorful chicken. In this role, you will drive excellence in customer experience, manage staff, ensure food safety standards, and maintain smooth restaurant operations. Your enthusiasm and management skills will inspire your team to deliver memorable dining experiences while achieving operational goals. Duties Lead and motivate a diverse team of restaurant staff, including cooks, cashiers, and servers, fostering a positive and productive work environment Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and food presentation to ensure high-quality standards are consistently met Manage daily restaurant operations including shift scheduling, inventory control, and ensuring adherence to food safety regulations Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to guarantee excellent service and customer satisfaction Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, sales tracking, and cash handling with accuracy Conduct staff training sessions on food handling, safety procedures, customer service excellence, and operational protocols Monitor restaurant performance metrics, control costs, and implement strategies to optimize profitability and efficiency Requirements Proven management experience within the food industry, particularly in quick service or fast food restaurants Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and food safety standards Experience with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; proficiency in cash handling and transaction processing Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively through training, coaching, and performance evaluations Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams in a high-energy environment Familiarity with inventory control practices and budgeting within a restaurant setting Prior experience in hospitality management or restaurant operations is highly desirable Exceptional customer service skills combined with strong organizational abilities Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Join us as a Restaurant Manager-Ricks Crispy Chicken and be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering delicious meals with outstanding service!
