Candidates must be:
Knowledgeable of beer, wine and craft cocktails Knowledgeable of Steps of Service and able to oversee their training and execution Available year round; nights, weekends and some holidays are a must 3+ years of experience in an upscale Casual dining, high volume, full table service establishment required! You will be part of our team and have all the typical duties and responsibilities that go along with being part of focused team with a staff of about 50 FOH employees, and will report directly to the General Manager. This position is best suited for an individual that is flexible and willing to be the best they can be.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
include but are not limited to::
  • Train, coach, and develop crew members and team leaders
  • Delegate tasks to team and provide follow-up
  • Hold team accountable for their performance; provide coaching and counseling as needed and document such discussions
  • Provide effective, open, and consistent communication on goals during team meetings while recognizing positive contributions
  • Educate team on and enforce all appropriate personnel policies, labor laws, and security, safety procedures and all local, state, and federal employment compliance.
  • Contribute to the hiring of crew members.
  • Contribute to crew members and team leaders' performance reviews
  • Ensure team provides fast, friendly, and accurate service
  • Effectively handle customer issues/complaints immediately upon being made aware of
  • Measure customer satisfaction and execute plan to improve both satisfaction and loyalty
  • Ensure that product quality, restaurant cleanliness, maintenance, and security standards are met at all times
  • Assist with increasing comparable sales and deliver budgeted sales each period.
  • Control cost of goods, variances, and inventories within the restaurant
  • Staff and schedule appropriately to control labor costs as per forecast and budget
  • Effectively maintain proper staffing levels throughout shift/daily
  • Ensure proper cash handling and deposit procedures are followed
  • Ensure appropriate inventory and ordering systems are in place
  • Open and Close restaurant safely and responsibly as scheduled/needed
  • Assist the Private Dining Coordinator with private groups, special events and catering as needed.
  • Work closely with Private Dining Coordinator to build Group sales
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
include but are not limited to:
  • Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with partners, customers and staff
  • Possess a positive attitude and ethics which support our values and culture
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused restaurant
  • Ability to understand financial reports
  • Strong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize
  • Ability to stand/walk for approximately 10-12 hours per day
  • Work approximately 50-60 hours per week; able to work flexible hours necessary to manage and operate the restaurant effectively, including weekends and opening/closing shifts as needed
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proven track record of exceptional customer service
  • Certified in food safety, allergen safety and alcohol safety courses in compliance with local and state laws
