Starved Rock Hospitality is seeking an accomplished and visionary multi-unit General Manager to oversee a dynamic, multi-faceted operation at iconic Starved Rock State Park , Illinois' most visited state park. This is an exceptional opportunity for a hospitality leader with experience managing complex resort, lodge, or destination properties with multiple revenue streams and high guest volumes. Welcoming more than two million visitors annually, Starved Rock offers a one-of-a-kind setting where natural beauty and hospitality come together. As General Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across all facets of the business, driving exceptional guest experiences, financial performance, and team engagement. General Manager Include:
Drive Growth & Elevate the
Destination Experience:
Lead the evolution of the property into a premier resort-style destination by enhancing guest offerings, identifying new revenue opportunities, expanding visitation, and creating memorable experiences that drive loyalty and repeat business.
Lead Daily Operations:
Oversee all aspects of the business, including retail, food & beverage, lodging, guest services, recreation, and maintenance, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional service delivery across the property.
Own Financial Performance:
Drive revenue growth and profitability through effective P&L management, strategic budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and operational efficiency initiatives.
Develop High-Performing Leaders & Teams:
Partner with department managers to build strong, accountable teams through coaching, mentorship, performance management, and leadership development.
Deliver Exceptional Guest Experiences:
Champion a culture of hospitality and service excellence, ensuring consistent product quality and memorable guest interactions that position the property as a sought-after destination. Collaborate with
Corporate & Strategic Partners:
Work closely with corporate leadership, and agency partners to implement best practices, solve challenges, and execute initiatives that support long-term growth and destination development. Qualifications Extensive leadership experience overseeing complex, multi-revenue-stream destination hospitality environments with a focus on operational excellence, guest experience, and financial performance Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, P&Ls, and driving profitability Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with a hands-on approach Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong focus on guest service and team development Comfortable working with Microsoft Office and POS systems Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred 5-7+ years of management experience in hospitality, retail, or multi-unit operations Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability or protected veteran status and all other status protected by law.
