This role provides training, tools, and hands-on experience in all aspects of playground operations, including people management and revenue growth. Working closely under the guidance of the General Manager, the AGM plays a key role in building a positive playground culture, ensuring safety compliance, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and driving revenue. Key Responsibilities Under the direction of the General Manager, the AGM supports and oversees five core areas of playground operations: Leadership
  • Serve as second-in-command to the GM and lead by example with integrity and high ethical standards
  • Provide guidance and coaching to Supervisors, Team Leads, and Team Members
  • Develop expertise in playground operations, safety, guest experience, and people management People (Team & Guests)
  • Act as a hands-on leader willing to support any role in the playground
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members
  • Train and develop staff in sales, party coordination, guest experience, and safety compliance
  • Support performance management through recognition, coaching, and accountability
  • Collaborate with the GM to build effective schedules based on playground needs
  • Foster a positive team culture through recognition and motivation
  • Deliver memorable guest experiences and manage guest feedback proactively Membership & Sales
  • Help drive sales results and coach the team to meet sales goals
  • Manage the membership experience and community engagement
  • Recommend ideas and best practices to increase profitability
  • Partner with the GM to monitor KPIs and their impact on business goals
  • Build understanding of P&L and operational management practices Parties & Events
  • Support the GM and Event Coordinator in party sales and event planning
  • Assist Party Chiefs in delivering exceptional party experiences
  • Help ensure smooth party operations through preparation and planning Facilities, Compliance & Safety
  • Communicate with facilities, maintenance, and corporate teams as needed
  • Help manage maintenance reports, cleanliness protocols, and safety standards
  • Assist with inventory management across departments
  • Ensure staff adherence to safety processes and reporting requirements
  • Complete required certifications in safety, operations, and food & beverage Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory or management experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in recreation, fitness, retail, restaurant, hospitality, or other high-volume customer service fields
  • Proven ability to execute Kid and Play's Core Competencies
  • Eager to learn, grow, and develop leadership skills with coaching
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office, Teams, and POS systems
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable, coachable, self-motivated, and organized Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the playground for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move at least 20 pounds
