Job Description
Job Overview Harrison Hills Golf Club is seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Food & Beverage Manager to lead all food and beverage operations for the clubhouse, bar, grille, and events. This is a full-time leadership role responsible for managing front-of-house and back-of-house operations, staffing, guest experience, inventory, bar service, and private events. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can oversee daily operations while helping grow banquets, private events, and catering opportunities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building teams, improving systems, and creating a high-quality guest experience. Key Responsibilities Daily Food & Beverage Operations Oversee day-to-day grille, bar, beverage cart, and clubhouse food service operations Manage front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth and efficient service Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards Ensure exceptional guest service for members, golfers, and event guests Manage opening/closing procedures and daily readiness of food & beverage areas Leadership & Staffing Hire, train, coach, schedule, and supervise all food & beverage staff Build a strong service culture focused on hospitality, teamwork, and accountability Monitor labor costs and schedule staff efficiently based on business levels and events Lead by example with a hands-on management style during peak service times Inventory / Purchasing / Financial Performance Manage ordering of food, liquor, beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages, and supplies Conduct regular inventories and track product usage Control food and beverage costs through purchasing, portioning, and waste management Assist with menu pricing, specials, promotions, and profitability goals Events / Catering Respond to banquet, wedding, and private event inquiries Conduct tours and assist guests with event planning and menu selection Prepare event details, timelines, and banquet event orders (BEOs) Coordinate room setups, staffing, bar service, and food execution for events Oversee successful execution of tournaments, golf outings, weddings, and private functions Help grow event and catering revenue through service excellence and repeat business Menu & Guest Experience Work with kitchen leadership to develop menus, specials, and seasonal offerings Enhance the clubhouse dining and event experience for members and guests Create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits and positive word-of-mouth Qualifications Previous management experience in restaurant, golf club, banquet, or hospitality operations preferred Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Experience with scheduling, staffing, inventory, and cost control Event, banquet, or catering experience strongly preferred ServSafe certified or willing to obtain Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Professional appearance and guest-focused mindset Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed What We're Looking For A dependable leader who can take ownership of the food & beverage operation, build a great team, support club growth, and create a first-class experience for golfers, members, and event guests.
