This pivotal role requires a proactive leader who excels in hospitality management, customer service, and event operations. As the driving force behind the success of our event centre, you will oversee all aspects of venue management, ensuring seamless experiences for clients and guests alike. Your passion for hospitality, strong organizational skills, and ability to motivate a team will be essential in creating memorable events that exceed expectations. Duties Oversee daily operations of the event centre, including scheduling, staffing, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Coordinate with clients to plan and customize event details, including catering, décor, and technical requirements. Manage vendor relationships for services such as catering, entertainment, equipment rentals, and décor to ensure quality standards are met. Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the venue for various events such as weddings, corporate functions, banquets, and community gatherings. Negotiate contracts with clients and vendors to secure favorable terms while maintaining excellent customer relationships. Upsell additional services such as premium packages or event enhancements to maximize revenue opportunities. Oversee budgeting processes, monitor expenses, and ensure financial targets are achieved through effective cost control and revenue generation. Lead the event planning team in delivering exceptional guest services by maintaining high standards of hospitality and responsiveness. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, licensing requirements, and venue policies at all times. Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback for continuous improvement and client satisfaction. Qualifications Proven experience in events management within hospitality settings such as hotels, restaurants, or banquet facilities. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure contracts that benefit both the venue and clients. Excellent marketing acumen with experience in event marketing and promotional campaigns. Demonstrated ability in upselling services to enhance revenue streams. Extensive knowledge of event planning processes including catering coordination, banquet setup, and technical arrangements. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relationship building. Effective time management skills to handle multiple events simultaneously under tight deadlines. Experience managing budgets, contracts, and vendor negotiations confidently. Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, staff, vendors, and stakeholders clearly and professionally. Organizational skills necessary for overseeing logistics from initial planning through post-event wrap-up. Previous banquet experience or familiarity with catering operations is highly desirable. Background in hotel or hospitality industries adds valuable insight into guest services standards. Fundraising experience is a plus for community or charity events hosted at the venue.
