We focus on elevated but approachable food, craft cocktails, and creating an experience that blends hospitality, creativity, and community. Our kitchen is scratch-driven with a focus on quality and consistency, while our space regularly hosts live entertainment, events, and rotating local art. We're a fast-paced environment that values teamwork, attention to detail, and people who take pride in what they do. Overview We are looking for a Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager to work alongside our Head Chef and help lead day-to-day kitchen operations. This role is focused on execution, organization, and consistency. You will support the chef in maintaining food quality, managing the team, and keeping the kitchen running efficiently during service. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone who can lead by example, stay organized under pressure, and take ownership of systems and standards in the kitchen. Responsibilities Work directly with the Head Chef to execute menu items consistently and at a high level Assist in menu development, seasonal updates, and recipe standardization Help manage kitchen staff including scheduling, training, and day-to-day oversight Maintain inventory levels, place orders, and manage food costs and waste Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are followed at all times Oversee prep, line readiness, and service flow to keep ticket times efficient Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new kitchen team members Communicate effectively with front-of-house to ensure smooth service Assist in maintaining systems, organization, and overall kitchen structure Step in wherever needed during service to support the team and maintain standards Qualifications Previous experience in a kitchen leadership role (Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar) Strong understanding of food preparation, kitchen systems, and service flow Ability to lead a team while working alongside them in a fast-paced environment Experience with inventory management, ordering, and cost control Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to stay calm, focused, and solution-oriented during busy shifts
