Job Description

Essential Job Functions Communicate daily with department supervisors regarding operational activities and performance. Promote and maintain safety, sanitation, and food safety standards throughout all operational areas. Plan production schedules and staffing requirements on a daily, weekly, and periodic basis to achieve operational KPIs. Partner with department supervisors and associates to maximize productivity, efficiency, and performance. Conduct and participate in daily operational meetings with supervisors and management staff. Assist in the development and training of department supervisors, management personnel, and hourly associates. Monitor operational performance and communicate progress toward daily objectives. Supervise, coach, and evaluate department supervisors and hourly associates to ensure effective job performance. Perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Complete and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly inspections in accordance with sanitation, food safety, and regulatory requirements. Evaluate facility sanitation conditions daily, assess food safety and public health risks, prioritize corrective actions, verify sanitation activities, validate results, and maintain appropriate documentation. Monitor shift and department performance, provide coaching and training, and administer corrective action when necessary. Additional Responsibilities Collect daily check-in sheets, review attendance and call-in logs, and print picking progress reports. Allocate labor resources to ensure all work is completed within established productivity standards. Verify and monitor employee attendance. Post voluntary overtime or early-release ("go-home") lists as needed. Manage the daily utility labor pool and assign associates to fill staffing gaps. Finalize attendance records and complete W2W calculations. Lead daily supervisor meetings. Ensure supervisors monitor employee breaks and meal periods. Monitor receiving operations, lift equipment activity, and dock performance throughout the shift, reallocating labor as necessary. Review and administer pending disciplinary actions when appropriate. Adjust labor assignments following meal periods to maintain productivity. Ensure supervisors monitor parking lot activity at shift end. Complete end-of-shift reports and communication emails. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of warehouse and distribution center operations. Self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal supervision. Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong analytical abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and warehouse management systems (WMS/WIN). Minimum of one (5) years of experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse operations, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications Previous distribution center management or supervisory experience. Physical Requirements The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position: Walk, bend, twist, and squat for up to 80% of the workday. Work in ambient and temperature-controlled environments for extended periods. Climb stairs and ladders as required. Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach overhead. Lift and carry up to 80 pounds for short distances. Work at elevated heights; no fear of heights is required. Possess the visual ability to perform duties requiring close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
