The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and customer relationship skills, strong service coordination capabilities, and a proven track record of team management. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including overseeing field service technicians, managing warehouse logistics, coordinating early morning crew loading, and ensuring smooth service documentation for hot tubs and swim spas. Responsibilities Team Leadership:
Manage and inspire a team of pool and spa service professionals to ensure high employee morale, exceptional customer satisfaction, and department profitability.
Morning Dispatch & Loading:
Oversee the warehouse operations and coordinate the loading of service vehicles each morning to ensure crews have the correct equipment, parts, and chemicals to start their day efficiently.
Operational Oversight:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring maintenance, water chemistry diagnostics, and equipment repairs are completed efficiently and correctly.
Warehouse Management:
Maintain warehouse organization, manage inventory levels of parts and chemicals, and track incoming and outgoing equipment shipments.
Mentorship & Growth:
Train and mentor service advisors, warehouse staff, and field technicians on industry best practices, safety standards, sales techniques, and customer service excellence.
Workflow Management:
Help with directing the scheduling and dispatching of field technicians for optimal route efficiency.
Documentation:
Manage the flow of service department paperwork, including equipment warranties, water analysis reports, and service invoices. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred. Valid state-issued driver's license and a clean driving record are required. Successful completion of a background screening.
Management Experience:
At least two years of experience as a service manager or supervisor, preferably within the pool and spa, logistics, or mechanical service industries.
Logistics Skills:
Previous experience overseeing warehouse inventory and managing the morning dispatch/loading of field-based crews is required.
Technical Knowledge:
Deep understanding of pool and hot tub equipment (pumps, filtration systems, heaters, automation), water chemistry, and spa electronics is highly preferred. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) or
APSP/PHTA
certification is a major plus.
