The Role As our General Manager, you aren't just managing shifts; you are owning the business. You will lead our front-and-back-of-house teams, protect our margins, cultivate a positive and respectful kitchen culture, and ensure every guest leaves wanting to return. You will partner directly with ownership to drive growth while maintaining a highly organized, efficient, and welcoming environment.
What You'll Do Lead & Develop:
Hire, train, and mentor a high-performing team. We believe in leading with empathy and firm accountability—no toxic kitchen or floor management. Own the
Floor:
Maintain a strong presence on the floor during peak hours. You ensure service runs smoothly, step in during bottlenecks, and build relationships with our regular guests. Manage the
Financials:
Take full ownership of the restaurant's P&L statement. You will manage inventory, control food and beverage waste, and optimize labor schedules to meet prime cost targets.
Oversee Operations:
Ensure absolute compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards. Handle vendor relations, ordering, and administrative duties with high attention to detail.
Drive Community & Marketing:
Collaborate with ownership on community events, catering growth, and local promotions to keep our dining rooms buzzing.
What We're Looking For Experience:
3+ years of proven success as a Restaurant General Manager or Assistant GM in a high-volume, full-service, or scratch-kitchen environment.
Leadership Style:
A hands-on leader who leads by example. You aren't afraid to jump on the line, clear a table, or wash dishes if the team needs backup.
Business Acumen:
Strong understanding of restaurant financial metrics (labor cost percentages, COGS, inventory management, and P&L optimization).
Communication:
Exceptional communication skills and a track record of resolving staff disputes or guest complaints with professionalism and candor.
Schedule Flexibility:
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings, as required by the rhythm of the business.
